Keeping your 9plus1 clothes in the best condition will help them last even longer and help further reduce their environmental impact. We would love it if you followed our easy care instructions, but please refer to the individual care label of your 9plus1 item for specific care instructions.
Care Instructions
Cotton and Bamboo Clothing
1. Separate colours and cold rinse first:
Separate out light and dark colours to prevent colours from running.
Always run a short cold prewash or rinse cycle before the main wash. This will stop the heat of the main wash setting in stains.
2. Use a 30°C cotton cycle:
30°C is gentle on clothes yet warm enough to remove most of stains. Washing on 30°C will allow the clothes to last longer and save energy.
3. Reshape when damp and avoid tumble dryer if possible:
Gently stretch your clothes back into shape after washing. Do not wring or twist as this can stretch it out of shape.
If possible, hang to dry in daylight to fade any stains left after washing.
If possible, don't tumble dry - it damages clothing fibres, causes bobbling and changes the shape of clothing.
Merino Wool and Wool Clothing
It is important to remember that any product that contains wool is naturally dirt and odour resistant, so you don't need to wash it too much. A good airing will usually be enough.
1. Always handwash or use a cold water wool cycle:
Use a very small amount of mild detergent and never leave to soak. If well taken care of, merino wool clothes last for a very long time.
2. Reshape when damp and avoid tumble dryer:
Gently stretch your clothes back into shape after washing. Do not wring or twist as this can strech it out of shape. Please do not use a tumble dryer.
